Before describing our list of
services, we would like to talk to you about the benefits
breastfeeding can have for you and your baby! Something Good for You and Your
Baby
For You...

Today, new mothers spend less time
in the hospital, the traditional source for breastfeeding
instruction & support. LCA can help you fill this
information void

knowing that you can breastfeed your baby for as long as you
want

You can feel physically and emotionally
comfortable, secure in the knowledge that you are doing
something positive for yourself and your baby.
For Your Baby...
-
Breastfed babies have significantly
fewer respiratory-tract and ear infections than bottle-fed infants
-
Breastfeeding reduces an infant's risk of food
allergy
-
Initial research suggests that breastfeeding
may have a long-term positive effect on a baby's immune
system.

Consultations
Because breastfeeding is a learned art, some mothers and babies may
experience difficulties that require the knowledge and skills of an
experienced professional. Through personal consultations in
our office or in your home, we perform an assessment, observe
breastfeeding and develop a written care plan. Initial
consultation is approximately two hours.
