Are you a family expecting baby number 2, or 3, or 4….. You may want
to consider taking a class for your older
child(ren) to start becoming acclimated to having a new baby sibling
in the house. There are no age restrictions on siblings but the
ideal age for attendance is 2 years to 8 years.
The information presented and activities done will be aimed at
siblings but with plenty of information and suggestions for parents,
too. Snacks and craft included.

What can a baby do? What can a big brother / sister do?

What does a baby eat? What can big brother / sister eat?

Helping mommy and daddy with baby

Safety – holding baby, feeding baby, giving toys to baby, etc

For parents: Helping the “big kid” adjust

Breastfeeding Your Baby
There is no greater joy and pride than to be able to nourish
your baby with breastfeeding.
Breastfeeding is natural, but is a learned skill, and many moms
benefit from support and guidance when questions arise as the
relationship between mother and child grows at the breast. The
instructor can help you get off to the best possible start
whether you plan to breastfeed for three months or three years.

What to expect the first days

Breastfeeding basics (latch, positioning, how often, how
long, etc.)

Avoiding and overcoming common challenges

Selecting breastfeeding accessories

Returning to Work
If you are a mother late in your pregnancy or on maternity leave
(2-3 weeks before returning to work) this class is for you!
Babies are welcomed in class. Topics that will be covered
include:
Pumping basics – pumping tips, maximizing yield, flange
fitting, cleaning and maintenance, etc., live pump
demonstrations
Storage basics – counter, fridge and freezer; containers;
thawing & use
Working with your employer
Working with your child care provider There is no greater
joy and pride than to be able to nourish your baby with
breastfeeding.
